Raden Ravotti Achmad Asikin Natanegara, fondly known by his love ones, family and friends as 'Votti' or 'Ravotti'. Graduated with International Law degree majoring in Humanitarian Law, Ravotti chose to follow his passion and pursue a career in photography.

His passion for photography was ignited at the age of 10 years old when his parents bought him a simple Kodak camera. In his high school years at the prestigious Jesuit's Canisius College, Ravotti was in charge of the college's events documentation. As a law student, his talent in photography began to receive annual awards in photographic competitions in 1987.

As the eldest child of the late Haji Raden Achmad Saleh Kurnadi Teddy Asikin Natanegara also known as Laksamana Madya Teddy Asikin Natanegara, former Indonesian Navy Deputy Chief of Staff; and Dr Inria Asikin Natanegara, Ophthalmologist Surgeon; Ravotti enjoyed a happy and colourful childhood living in many parts of Indonesia, following his father's postings as a high ranking Naval Officer.

Education, etiquette and discipline are highly encouraged in this military / medical family. Ravotti is known to be punctual and spiritual within the family. In one of his media interview, Ravotti expressed "… there used to be consequences even if I was only 5 minutes late."

As the world shifts towards digital photography, Ravotti with his appreciation for old fashion techniques and values prefers to work with manual camera capturing photographs on film for as long as he could. "Capturing moments with manual camera proves and refines my own skills; sharpen my intuition, accuracy and sensitivity as a photographer."

Thru his camera lens, Ravotti perceptive eyes have captured many public figures in candid moments. His works are treasured and often adorn prominent wall spaces of these famous personalities as well as publications including Jakarta Post and Rebel Magazine.

Currently residing in Australia to pursue further study in Multi Media, Ravotti has been the photographer for official events at the Indonesian Consul General as well as Wisma Indonesia in Sydney and other venues, including the 'Australia and Indonesia: Partners in a New Era' Bilateral Conference in Feb 2009. Ravotti spends most of his spare time capturing the beauty of Australian landscape.
